Welcome to Probus Club Flagstaff Hill

Probus is an association of active retirees who join together in clubs. Its basic purpose is to provide for its members regular opportunities to keep their minds active, expand their interests and to enjoy the fellowship of new friends.

Probus clubs were formed to provide a means of bridging the gap between the working environment and retirement where professional, business and other men can meet and share a few hours each month in fellowship.

The title PROBUS is an abbreviation of the two words Professional and Business. However membership is not restricted to these two groups and any man is welcome to join.

The Probus Club of Flagstaff Hill (men’s club)  meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month in the Happy Valley Church of Christ, 179 Hub Drive, Aberfoyle Park at 9.45 am until 12.00 noon.

Why not visit our next meeting as a guest?  You will be very welcome.

Our most recent outing was a very interesting tour of Coromandel Valley conducted by some very dedicated local people with a genuine interest in the local history.

Horner’s Bridge was the first bridge to be constructed over the Sturt River.

David Conlon gave a talk about the old bakery which is now a museum at the bottom of Winns Road.
