Club Activities

Activities normally fall into two parts:

A formal meeting: This comprises a short club business session, a coffee and fellowship break followed by a guest speaker on a topic of mutual interest.

Outings (between meetings) to places or organisations of interest to members.
These may include overnight trips, tours and walks.

  • 13th May – David Matthews, “The Duke, A Hero’s Hero at Sandakan” (based on the life of his father Captain Lionel Matthews.
  • 10th June – Speaker from Royal Flying Doctor Service.
  • 8th July – TBC
  • 12th August – RAA Road Rules Quiz. An interactive presentation on road rules. (Wives/partners welcome.)
  • 9th September – Alan Burns, “Glenthorne National Park” (Wives/partners welcome.)
  • 14th October – Laine Anderson – “The long flight home.”
  • 11th November – TBC
  • 9th December – Entertainment provided by member Maurie Lateu.
